Ladies First Celebrity Golf Classic Announces Sponsor RosterNearly two dozen companies supporting third annual event
LOS ANGELES, CA (May 8, 2007) – The third annual Ladies First Celebrity Golf Classic - the only Celebrity Charity Golf Tournament to feature an all-female field of celebrities - will take place May 18 to 20 at the Morongo Casino Resort & Spa in Cabazon, CA and the Cimarron Golf Resort in Cathedral City, CA. The Classic raises funds for the Women’s Sports Foundation’s GoGirlGo! Initiative. Female celebrities from the worlds of sports, movies, television, and music participate.
The three-day weekend event features golf rounds and clinics, receptions, dinners, evening entertainment, and, for the first time, the Classic opens its doors to the public, with a Saturday evening concert by five-woman rock band Antigone Rising (at VIBE at Morongo), and a Sunday afternoon Celebrity Tournament spectator day (at Cimarron).
Nearly two dozen corporate partners are supporting this effort, including four companies that have been with the Classic all three years: Anheuser-Busch (Michelob Ultra brand), Limelight Solutions, Starbucks, and Tiffany & Co.
A number of other companies are back for the second straight year, including: American Laser Centers, Chuao Chocolatier, Golf for Women Magazine, L’Occitane, Mirassou Winery, Penta Water, Powerbar Pria, and Tour Vision Eyewear.
And, the Classic has signed a host of new partners on an exclusive basis, including: BostonCoach, Coffee-mate, EZ103.1, Mercedes-Benz of Palm Springs, Nina McLemore, Studio i|m, Swingrite, WorldTek Travel, and Yankee Candle; and on a non-exclusive basis, retailers Roger Dunn Golf Shops and Bellasport.
According to Tournament Director, Jen Rottenberg, “We are really pleased with our corporate support this year. The fact that companies keep coming back, and are signing multi-year agreements with the Classic, attests to the fact that we are doing something right!” She added, “We are looking forward to another successful year, thanks to their support.”
